Bootsy Collins
Bootsy Collins is one of Funk and R&B’s most notorious bassists, singers, frontman, and producers - noted by Rolling Stone Magazine as the 4th best bassist of all time. Bootsy kickstarted his career with James Brown’s backup band (J.B.’s) from 1969 to 1971, hooking onto the concept of “The One.” He later joined George Clinton’s Parliament-Funkadelic - establishing George and Bootsy’s lifelong friendship. In 1976, Bootsy’s Rubber Band launched and captivated audiences with his iconic star-shaped glasses and bass.
